School Bank

Thursday the 1/12/2011 marked the official launch of “The sChool Bank” in Old Bawn Community School. The bank is staffed and managed by students who go through a real application process which includes an initial interview and induction and further training and development in the Tallaght branch of the bank.

The bank that has been introduced as a student project through the Bank of Ireland build a bank challenge, has got off to a great start with many student savers opening their first ever bank account in the hope of learning the art of saving and financial management.

The bank is operated by Leaving Certificate L.C.V.P, Business and Accounting students who as well as learning and developing their experience in a service driven environment are gaining exceptional financial services experience and skills that will assist and contribute to their academic course work for their state exams.

The bank is continuing to grow from strength to strength and the students will have the opportunity to both apply for positions and open their own account in the coming weeks.

Keep an eye on this tab for information about recruitment & selection and how to open your own account with Bank of Ireland through our school branch.

The application process will begin this November and the branch will open again from January until May 2019.

Mr P Ryder.
