Old Bawn Community School recognises and rewards achievements across all areas in the school.
Throughout the year students are commended in various ways on their performance after their Christmas exams and outstanding work in class.
Every October, Old Bawn Community School has the annual Prize Giving. This recognises excellence in academic and extracurricular areas. There are prizes for students who have performed excellently in the previous year in both areas. There is a gold medal presented to the best Junior and Leaving Certificate students from the previous year.
Our annual prize for the “Spirit of Old Bawn” award is given to the student out of each year group that teachers feel have shown generosity of spirit, a great attitude to their work and have gone the extra mile to work well with staff and their fellow students.
