Student Council

The Student Council comprises representatives from each year group. Tallaght Youth Service meet the members each year for training and election of officers.
The Council meets every fortnight to discuss students’ issues and strategies are devised that best address those issues.
Achievements:

1. A vending machine in the P.E. hall.
2. A vending machine which gives change.
3. We fund-raised and bought lockers (value €1000) for the P.E. hall for valuables e.g. keys, phones etc.
4. A suggestion box in the oratory.
5. In conjunction with School Completion, a breakfast club was established.
6. A girls’ soccer team was set up and we are grateful to Ms. Ryan and Mr. Teevin.

Members have been consulted on the uniform.
At one stage a rota was put in place for checking the toilets.
Each year a representative group attends Comhairle na nÓg A.G.M. and members have got involved in Foróige and L.G.B.T. groups.

There is constant consultation with the Principal and each year members meet the Board of Management.
