Due to the current lockdown, The Square is looking at restricting the numbers who go there for lunch from Old Bawn Community School. The Supervalu shop in Aylesbury is also very small to cope with the large numbers of our students who are trying to get lunch. We have always provided a lunch service but this was cancelled this year by the people who ran it.
We have looked at getting a service into the school to facilitate students who do not want to go home and also may want to buy a lunch. From Monday next, Fresh Today will be providing a lunch service. Meal Options that will be available are:
Two hot main course meals.@ €3.00 each
One Filled Baguette option @ €2.50 each
One vegetarian option – Ciabatta @ €2.50
One filled Ciabatta option @€2.50
It will be served from the kitchen hatch and all students will be allowed to purchase the food.
To facilitate our students, we will be opening up more areas in the school for students to sit and eat lunch with supervision. All junior students who are staying in for lunch should sit in the upper assembly and in front of the main office. If you would like your child to stay in for lunch and you have not applied, please fill in the form attached:

We are hoping that students will support the business, as this is a trial. If there is not enough interest it will be cancelled again. As the weather gets back over the coming months, it will keep our students warm and dry and fed!
